Dr. Yuzawa is a transplant surgeon specialized in kidney, liver and pancreas transplantation.  He has serves as president of Japanese Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and honorary member of The Japan Society for Transplantation. He participates actively in ethical committees of a few societies for transplantation. He is the hospital director of Omitama City Medical Center, Ibaraki, Japan. He has now an academic appointment, as a visiting professor of surgery, University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan. 

Now he works very hard as a member of Task Force on Renal Transplantation in Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan and as a member of The Committee on Organ Transplantation in Health Science Council, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan.
